Abstract

This community service activity aims to describe the synergy between students participating in the University of Padang's Community Service Program (KKN) and the local government in supporting and ensuring the success of the annual Tabek Panjang Village Runners event. This activity was held on June 17, 2025, in Nagari Tabek Panjang, Baso District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. Tabek Panjang Village Runners is an annual routine agenda organized by the nagari government as an effort to promote a healthy lifestyle, increase public awareness of the importance of physical activity, and strengthen social bonds and solidarity among residents. In its implementation, KKN students played an active role as part of the organizing committee, from the planning stage, technical preparations, to the implementation of activities in the field. This activity involved various age groups, from children to the elderly, reflecting the inclusive and community-based nature of the program. The results of the activity showed an increase in community participation in sports activities and closer collaboration between academic institutions and local governments. In addition to having a positive impact on public health, this activity also contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
